ABOUT FOUNDATION

The Mind Full Foundation, a 501 (c) 3, not-for-profit educational and charitable organization, was founded in 2015 by an educator and businessman in  North Carolina. The Foundation serves as a flexible and timely funding source to meet pressing needs to help students learn from reliable sources inside and outside the classroom in order to complete graduation  requirements.

Funds for these and other occasions allow educators and administrators some immediate flexibility to spend monies based on a specific situation and on a case-by-case basis. Donations will assist students in post-secondary educational settings to cover expenses  typically not covered by  other means.

According to the 2017 Report on the Economic Well Being of U.S. Households surveyed by the Federal Reserve Board, the average outstanding college student debt “was between $20,000 and $25,000” with a typical payment of  “between $200 and $300”  per month.  Unanticipated and immediate costs do arise which are not covered by these loans.  Our experience suggests that unforeseen expenses cause college students to leave school, borrow more money or work long hours. Some students experience financial hardships from unexpected expenses such as, transportation expenditures, including fluctuating fuel costs, in order to travel for community and service learning projects and internships; professional apparel purchases for networking within the business and healthcare communities; and from fees associated with attending professional conferences and meetings. These and other unanticipated costs occur as programs strive to help college students participate in high impact, real world experiences.  The Mind Full Foundation will help students and programs to fund some of these unexpected costs in order to reduce student debt and to  increase the probability of college graduation.
